The X3 Stake is amazingly strong. It combines all the advantages of plastic with the strength of metal. It delivers the benefits of titanium without the cost. The standard size is 9 inches long and weighs only 8 tenths of an ounce, yet the X3 will not deform like plastic stakes, and will not rust or crease like metal. The head will not mushroom, so pound it in place with whatever you have available and when you need to remove the X3, grab it with your multi-tool, wrench, or hand and twist it with an upward motion to back it out. It is light enough for the extreme ultralight backpacker, yet tough enough to withstand the grueling punishment of military use.
